Peter Weir

Peter has over 35 years of experience in:

• catchment management
• surface and groundwater hydrology freshwater policy
• RMA consenting, as an applicant and a decision-maker.

He has held registration in Canada as a Professional Geoscientist and in NZ as a Registered Engineer. 

He was a member of the Land and Water Collaborative Forum 2008 to 2012. In 2019 he was appointed by Ministers to the Freshwater Leaders group during the Essential Freshwater reforms. He maintains membership of the NZ Hydrological Society and the NZ Association for Resource Management.
